Varsity Girls' With the majority of the 1985 Varsity and junior varsity girls, track Avoca- do league champions returning for the track team this year, Coach Will Wester, a nine year veteran of the San Pasqual track program, hoped to capture another league title for the Eagles. Along with Coach Wester's dreams for another victory, the team also hoped to do well in CIF. The girls went for their fourth league title and were all but guaranteed it with help from relay members Andrea Miller, Shawn Miller, Kristi Kauf- man, and Nicole Rothey. The help of the long distance runners Laurie Gannon, Joey Dooley, Alchera Cle- menshaw, Kerry Panno, discus thrower Kris Buringrud, and high jumper Carrie Luttio gave the team strong support throughout the sea- son. There was the lar- gest turn-out in SPHS history, due to the carried over enthusiasm of the cross country team.
