English Classes Enrich Our Lives The English Department is one of the big areas in academics. Classes 'include the regulation gram- mar and vocabulary but reading speech ad- other options. Not all are hard work and no play however. Some classes, like the above picture of Mrs. Knight s Renaissance Faire where students reenacted Shakespeare s times from food to cos- tumes, had special activities. Ms. Keithley s class had a traditional and authentic tea party com- plete with crumpets. Ms. DeVroeg s freshmen baked cakes representing their book Ch21I'HCl391'S, and her senior advanced compositionists created a special magazine for their own talented works. fPictured: Evan Vernonj 7 7 7 vanced composition, and literature courses are 7 7 7 9 Y 9 ACadBIDiCS English As A Second Language Is Also Taught On Campus Some students chose to take English as a second language, tr improve in that area.
