B. Annie fSusan Binderl teaches Mrs. Keller fMichelle Durnellj about how C. Mr. Keller fBruce Smithj gets frustrated over Helen fSarah Graybealj. DRAMA PRODUCES TI-IE MIRACLE WORKER During the first semester this year, the Drama Club put on its version of the famous play, The Miracle Worker. Mrs. Boyd as director had her hands full getting lines down for the actors, collecting props, borrowing costumes from the supporting Patio Playhouse, and controlling Hannibal, the Schnauzer who caused many a laugh. The first week of performances had to be cancelled, but the show went on in the second weekend of December. The story of Helen Kel- ler is that of a deaf, mute, blind child, portrayed by Sarah Graybeal, who is finally controlled and taught by Annie Sullivan fSusan Binderl. It's a tender, moving story about the life of Miss Sullivan and how, in the end, human courage and spirit can overcome the hardest of obsta- cles. A.
