SPIRIT WEEK HAILS HOMECOMI G Spirit Week hailed the Homecoming game in an array of H costumes. Monday saw girls in poodle skirts and guys in leather jackets for 50's day. Tuesday, Nerd day, there was a rush of KMart specials and rip-offs from Peewee Her- man and Biff and Skippy. fOne nerd proved the point by dressing up a day latelj On Wednesday SPHS was raided by brilliant Hawaiian shirts and skimpy grass skirts. By Thurday, everyone was happy to have s simpler outfit - togas. It was old Greece in the SPHS pantheon. Friday, Eagles burst into their traditional blue and gold colors, e an 3 p but in most original ways. FLOATS BECOME F IRYTALES With another school year came another Homecoming! Spirit soared this year not only on campus, but in float competition as well. The theme this year was Fairytales and Nursery Rhymes as each of the classes produced their favorite. A tradition started last year rang true again this one, the Juniors captured first placeg the Seniors came in second, Freshmen, third, and Sopho- mores, fourth.
