To join, members have to be enrolled in an agri- culture class. Band ocal Ensemble Jnder the stern discipline of Ms. Dominguez, the band von the most sweepstakes ever in San Pasqual's history his year. Thursday night practices as well as first peri- md and after school time made the band one finely .uned instrument. They played for home football games, pep rallies, festivals, Pops Concert, and the Win- .er Concert. The band was invited to play in the Chaffy Fournament of Champions and other prestigious com- Jetitions. This year the Vocal Ensemble had an aura of profes- sionalism around it that made it stand out in a crowd. It might have come from their new black dresses and electric blue sequins that they made themselves Knot to mention the nice appearance of the menl but what was really impressive was the amount of performances they did. The singing group of eighteen went everywhere from churches, mobile home parks clubs, and organiza- tions to the elementary and junior high schools in the area both entertaining and getting future prospects for the San Pasqual vocal program. They performed at SPHS for the Winter, Spring, and Pops Concerts and sang in the Vineyard as well. During the second semes- ter with Mr. Enoscoe the Vocal Ensemble added chore- ography to their act. With all the applause they re- ceived this year, the members really have something to carol about. ,nas fi? Organizations Craft Guild This club, led by Mr. Theonnes, Greg Armstrong, and Andy Goodwin, was not for necessar- ily the talented, but creative and interested students. The club's activities included put- ting a graphic on the exercise room wall at Burroughs, murals for the 300 and 400 building halls, art field trips, and doing all of our football spirit ribbons. Top Row KL to RJ: Andrew Goodwin, Helena Taylorg Mr. Theonnesg Greg Armstrong, and Sean Yarush. Los Latanos The newest club to start up on SPHS is the Los Latanos Club. A couple of people felt the need to organize a group of Hispanics and get out to do some things. Originally, it was just a group of friends. They went all the way to Mr. Ross to get a room to use for meetings and it turned out that Mr. Ross himself be came their advisor, although the students lead and organize everything. The committee that started it led the club through fun draisers to go to Knott's Berry Farm and oth er trips. The main purpose of which was to get people with common interests together and out of trouble. Anyone can join, but most of the members are Mexican and the meet ings are usually held in Spanish. The Los Latanos members are very optimistic about the future and had a fun time creating a club Los Latinos: Top Row QL to RJ: Peanut Gonzalez' Diana Valdez' Marcos Mota Patti Marquezg Jesus Gamezg Alfonso Fonsecag Maggie Alvaradog Ed Resales Pedro Perez and Rodolfo Fonseca.
