Haag 3 ,fl . fl. fi .,, I Design, Dance Opens Deels To Brown Landra Brown was a freshman this year and, like so many others, was unsure of what San Pasqual had to offer. She's been in jazz for three years now, taken lessons, and danced with her group in the Vineyard. She was too late to join our ance team but intends to. She was also in ceramics, which he plans to advance in, and enjoyed creating things with slay. She enjoys tennis and golf, also. Brown plans to attend ollege and major in businessffashion merchandising as she as an eye for designs as well. For now, though, she's enjoy- ing her talents, using the arts to express herself. Artist Freeman Flourishes Xmong the art fans getting their start at San Pasqual this fear was freshman Emerson Freeman. He took both an art :lass and beginning ceramics with Mr. Theonnes and did above average work. Art class gave Emerson a way out for his .alents as well as time to think and create. His best drawings lre of horses, which he's drawn since he was a kid. Freeman's 'avorite class though, was ceramics. He enjoyed working with mis hands, taking a general theme and making it his own inique creation . . . a box, a whistle, or a practical utensil. He ropes to take more art classes in the future, as well as go urther in the wrestling and football he was in. As 374, he vas tackle on the football team and made many new friends. -Ie enjoys contact sports and wanted to see how good he'd be. kfter an hour or so of practice, Freeman usually bums iroundv and likes to listen to 91X for a while. After San Jasqual, he'd like to attend Brigham Young University, his irtwork to remain only a hobby. He's undecided on his ma- or. For now, though friends ask him for drawings, and he's eceived many a compliment, most of Freeman's work goes nto the trashcan. He's constantly trying to improve himself.
