Kohl. -Kumi The Executive Board of San Mateo High School does not execute laws as the name implies but acts as a legislature. EX-Board is composed of representatives who are elected at the beginning of each new semester from the home rooms. It is the job of the representatives to either pass or reject motion and laws concerning the welfare of the student body. lt is also the job of the representative to report to his home room the busi- ness carried on in Ex-Board and to carry back to Ex-Board any suggestions that the home room students may make. Ex-Board is called to order every Tuesday after school by the president of the student body. The salute to the flag is given and the secretary reads the minutes of the previous meeting. After the commissioners have given their re- ports, the meeting is open to any business that may come before it. With Ex-Board as our House of Representatives, our school government is truly a government of the students, by the students, and for the students. SPRING FIRST ROW, left to right: M. Heinecke, B. This is the way Bob Murphy started his semester as A. B. S. president, assisted by Chuck Fitch and Duane Eckert somewhat in this manner. Since the A, B. S. treasury was flatter than a praying Mohammadenp B b decided on having the A. B. S. dance right away. The Single Wing Swing s the name and success was the outcome. Bob also held a couple of assemblies much to the pleasure of the boys. Then without the use of safety pins came the change of the semester. A mere infant in the way of politics, also one of the few juniors who enjoys the privilege of being A. B. S. president, was Bob Doe, who got the nod and job. lim Reilly and Bill McMichael were his officers, and he started off on his career by having Ky Ebright, the head crew coach of the U. C., to tell the boys about his experiences at the l948 Olympic Games in London, England. Mr. Charles Mar- shall is the worthy advisor for our oirganization and is doing a Wonderful job. Say hello for me to anyone who won't slap your face for it. Anonymous.
