The We-of-the- younger - generation - march - bravely - forward type of theme, used and worn out, is hereby re- nounced without tears. Although caught in a solemn and serious decade, we feel that a light and different approach is entirely in keeping as we fit San Marino's year into our yearbook. TITANIAN, '58 edition, is therefore a little differ- ent. The fresh modern spirit we have attempted to capture is simply the famous Titan Spirit. A San Marino 24 San Gabriel O The Titan Varsity opened the '57 season by downing our southern neighbors, The San Gabriel Mata- dors, 24-O. Following this sparkling win over San Gabriel, a flu-weakened squad Traveled to Monrovia-Duarte High to be upended 6-O by a very pow- erful Wildcat eleven. On Gctober 18 the Lancers of Bell Gardens were our guests for a vengeful duel after last year's 7-6 upset by the Lancers over San Marino. After four quarters of rough football the Titans unhorsed the Lancemen by a score of 26-19. San Marino O i Far! i,.,,,.
