Miss Lauer was the first teacher from SP-SM to be given the honor. Miss Mary jo Sowards also traveled by plane to the hast. She accompanied Gretchen Koosman to XVashington, D. C., where CIretchen's Project, Molds From Soil was entered in the Science Fair. They were gone for a week in May. VVhcn Miss Lorraine Davis and Mrs. Lucille Linn were unable to continue teaching clothing and typing respectively, Mrs. Annabelle lfrickson and Miss Mary Lou Kelly substituted for them for the remainder of the school year.
