To the San Marcos boys' JV team, however, volleyball was a way of life. At the beginning of the season,' Coach Dan Forces Samaniego said, We're go- ing to be a definite force this year. The enormous turnout that showed for tryouts would tend to agree with him. We were more evenly matched this year, he added. Last year, JV played against varsity level foes.
