Money ls Their Game This year's Finance Committee was led by senior Kathy Kalp. lt was kept busy not only during the year, but even during the summer. Throughout the year it met to review and approve the ASB budget for the House and also to sell ASB cards dur- ing nutrition, lunch, and the shuffle. This benefited all San Marcos students. The committee also helped the teams. For instance, it helped the tennis team by approving the allocation of S1000 forthe purchase ofa mechanical trainer. ln addition to this they assisted the Jazz Band in raising money for a trip to Monte- rey. What about those intriguing games, like passing an Alka-Seltzer tablet with your teeth or pushing a VVV around the tack? These and a wide variety ot other events gave San Marcos students bursts ot spirit and H lunacy before nutrition. lt was traditional to start a Friday morning rally with the Drum Corps and Spiritleaders parading about the campus as students gathered in the Greek Theatre. Once there, the stu dent body participated in rallies with themes ranging from the Un-Rally, where everything was reversed, to a banana eating contest between class representa tives.
