As the school year begins, a count- less number of faces roam the campus halls. Many of the faces search for accomplishment, many seek popular- ity, and many desire the feeling of being involved. Whateverthe reason may be, clubs and organizations can open a door to those vvho wish to par- ticipate. At first the club may start the year rather slowly and feelings are some- what timid, but as the weeks progress, the members become a close unit. Each member performs his or her spe- cifictfunction within the group, and before long, activities begin to happen. There are rallies, sports events, plays, and concerts. Organization The Associated Student Body Cabinet consisted ot twelve students who put in many hours of personal time to develop a student government system which ran smoothly. The ASB cabinet members were involved in everything from the sports rallies to the school desegregation program. Some concrete examples ofthe high goals they set tor themselves were the Boyal Decree, the sophomore orientation day, the Government Advisory Broad- cast, andthe student suggestion boxes located about the campus. The Cabinet also organized a very successful l-lome- coming halttime show. Led by president Mark Battistone, the cabinet made the 1. Members of the cabinet discuss current issues. 2. Kirsten Panizzon discusses cabinet matters with a few students, 3. Sean McMahon heads back to class atter lunch. 4. Adrian Tartler referees the tug- ot-war game between classes.
