SM Spirit This year's rallies were created with imagination and differed from rallies in the past. The rally committee put an extraordinary effort into bringing stu- dents to the rallies. They tried to make each rally fun, or at least amusing to watch. One of the better rallies created this year was the one for the Oxnard foot- ball game. This rally was called an Un-Rally and was quite a success. The aim of the rally was to do things backwards, and that included every- thing from the little things, such as saluting the flag at the end, all the way up to the bigger things like having the spirit leaders and the football players exchange roles. The committee also tried to increase audience participa- tion by having class competitions. These included such things as yelling contests, banana eating contests, lap sits, tug-of-wars, and Volkswagen pushes. All in all, the rallies were a success, and managed to break through last year's apathetic outlook. 1. At the Un-Rally the football team dressed upto copy the spiritleaders. 2. Enthusiasm's high as the spirltleaders do their thing ata rally, 3. The spiritleaders made the Un-Rally even stranger with their own version of Macho Men. 4. Cindi Eyman and Brian Chase turn out to be the perfect match in a skit based on the dating game. 5. The Senior team rushes to win the car push, 6. Reving up for a rally the Pep Band leads the students out in a Pied Piper fash- ion. 7. Ducky Don week was celebrated by many various activities, seen here is the tug-of-war between the Sophomore and Junior classes. ,.
