Senior team bie Philip gains yardage for the seniors. 4. Eileen members take a short rest. Powder Puff 79 Powder Puff football returned to the campus after a one-year lapse. The fact that there was no game last year seemed to stimulate the turnout of prospective players for both teams. After a one week crash course in conditioning and fun- damental football, the moment of truth for both groups came on Friday, December 14th. ln the tradition of San Marcos PP games, the first half was a stand-off with two strong defenses dominating the action. At half-time it was a scoreless tie largely due to the fine work of junior Amy Anderson. Early in the third quarter, Deana Ross broke loose and sprinted downfield 95 yards to put the seniors out in front. Later in the fourth quarter, the seniors scored again on a run up the middle by Jody Taf- elski. The senior lead was increased to 14 points when Sabrina l-lolford scored a safety. Then, with a little over two minutes left, junior Leanne Kuhn received the kickoff and legged it all the way for a quick six points. At the final gun the score was 14- 6 in favor of the seniors.

San Marcos provides students with many activities which are fun to watch and participate in. These same activi- ties develop interests while they enter- tain. lnterests often lead to hobbies or sometimes even a career, The Fioyal Blue Review and an assortment of plays develop the entertainer in many of us. A variety of dances, each with its own theme, provide students with numerous opportunities to become involved in social planning. The school's nominating convention is yet another example ofthe activities to which a student may be introduced. It is important for students to take an interest in these outside activities because they cover a section of our education which is often inadequately explored in the regular curriculum. t.
