Girls Find Tennis Tough The girls' teams finished with an overall record of 6-11 and a Channel League mark of 3-7. As in the past, the league competition in' the form of DP. and SantaBarbara proved to be hard to top. The tvventy-one girls who made up the team did make a good effort. Among the leaders were Karen Brennand, Laurie Carroll, Robin Ziegler, and Leslie Dinaberg. All went to the Channel League championships with Laurie and Robin in the singles competition, and Les- lie and Karen teaming in the doubles matches. At the conclusion ofthe season, Laurie Carroll was named to the league all-star team. The league was very tough, and as one stu- dent commented, lt the team had looked at tennis more as a sport than as a game, they might have made it to the top. .M ' 24 GIRLS' TENNIS in GlRLS' TENNIS.
