Programs Add zip Under the supervision of Mr. Purcell, the program Committee helped to organ- ize the Principal's assemblies. Committee coordinator Ursula Kroemer stated that, although the committee lacked active members, they managed to accomplish their duties. To the student's delight, the group succeeded in convincing adven- turer and explorer John Goddard to return this year with another exciting film on exploring the Nile River. They were also able to engage the Army Band whose snappy performance helped to start off the school year. Service With A Smile The Key Club is mainly a public serv- ice organization, stated president Paul Kuhn, and that the Key Club was. They went to Kiwanis Club meetings and helped with their international drug pre- vention program. The club also sent two members to the 34th annual Key Club International Convention in Anaheim. With aid from advisor Mr. Rogers and Mr. Stoney, the club had a very busy year. At school, members participated in Club Day, escorted the Homecoming princesses, sponsored the Harvest Moon Ball, and painted the Greak Theatre benches. PROGRAM COMMITTEE X KEY CLUB

'-5 'Q l gift by Spirit In Action Adding their own special style to this year's rallies and athletic events, the spirit leaders were no doubt one ofthe more enthusiastic groups on the San Marcos campus. To prepare for their various duties at games and tor rallies, the mem- bers attended a week-long cheerleader camp at UCSB last summer. Led by Captain Shawn Maloney, the girls raised funds tor camp by holding bake sales and selling decorated eggs. For the Homecoming Carnival, they turned out their super Rice Krispy treats.
