The German School Committee has a partnership with Eberhard Ludwig's gymnasium in Stuttgart, Germany, for a two-way exchange of students each year. School annuals and newspapers, schoolwork, letters, books, and many other mementoes oi school work are also exchanged between the two schools. To support our representatives, a successful rummage sale is held each year. Our representative to Germany this year was Doug lones, and Ger- many's representative was loachim Lenz. Through this exchange arrange- ment, the GSC succeeds admirably in executing its purpose of fostering a bet- ter understanding ot other people in the world. uture Farmers Of America The main purpose of the Future Farmers of America is to train young people that are interested in the improvement of agriculture and rural living. Our local unit has op- erated under an extensive program oi work this year, and their varied projects, both for community and personal benetits, have met with success. ln return for student body and community support of such projects as the Barn Dance and the Christ- mas Tree sale, our Future Farmers have maintained high standards of character and work for the benefit ot the school and the general public. The participation in parliamen- tary procedures contests, judging exercises, and public speaking trials helps to prepare each mem- ber tor a more dynamic role in American agriculture.
