SECOND ROW: lim Maino, Fred Gottfried. Bill Spoeneman, Bob Minugh, Clint Lebo. Dan DeVaul. 32 Wres tling Coach Phil Prijatel's wrestling squad claimed third place in the league for the season. During the dual match sea- son the Bengal grapplers took indisputable victories over Lom- poc, Santa Maria, Morro Bay, and Mission, While suffering losses to the Arroyo Grande Eagles -and the Atascadero Greyhounds. In tournaments the Tiger mat- men fared well, finishing sec- ond in the Carpenteria tourna- ment, placing in the Cal Poly tourney, and taking a third at the SLO Athletic League Cham- pionship Tournament. ln the Carpenteria melee, Frank Silva walked off with a blue ribbon in the 138-pound class, Bill White won the 154- pound diadern, and Mike Mc- Cune captured the heavy- weight crown. ln the lunior Varsity division, Mike McCay placed first at 154. The Prijatlemen took third at the league meet, with Bill White and Phil Prijatel lr. taking top honors. Coach Prijatel is looking for- ward to next year with Richard Glick, Howard Franklin, Ierry Greenelsh, Tony Boyle and Mike McCay forming the nu- cleus of his team. At the end of the season the team elected Frank Silva hon- orary captain and Phil Prijatel lr. as the outstanding wrestler. Coach Phil Priiaiel
