Unlike most Varsit y foot- ball games, the homecom- ing game took place directly after school. Most of the rebels fans seemed to really enjoy seeing a Varsity game durihg the daylight hOUl'S. lt's really nice having day games. You see more action and you don't ha ve to freeze doing it, stated Karen Bradley. By half time the l'ebelS were in the lead six to nothing and the main event began. The moment every- one had been waiting for, the announcement of the royal court, declaring the prince and princesses for each of the classes. After receiving their titles, the royal court rode around the track in elaborately decorated con- vertibles, which had dOhed balloons and streamers just for the occasion. After the announcement of the court, the ReDelS con- tinued to dominate the Mt. Eden Monarchs, ending the game in a victory with a score of twelve to zero. lt's a great feeling to win a game. lt's hard to explain because to me win- hihg is the best feeling ih the world. It was even sweeter because we lost a close one the week before and now we came back strong to shut out Mt. Eden. At half time. we were only up by one touchdown and the coach ga ve usa pep talk and that got us feeling good about ourselves. We went right baCk onto the field ahd shut down their offense. After the game, everyone came up to us and told us howproud they were. It was a great feeling, commented Marcus Paniaqua. Homecoming activities came in and went out with a bang but it didh't ehd with the game. The king and queen were still to be an- nounced One thing for sure we all definitely sho wed our Rebel Spirit.
