Bills that are sub- mitted 'ro the Executive Council are approved by Representative Assembly, and then the Council has the power to either pass or veto the bills. Passing on the plans of any school-wide functions such as the school calendar, school assemblies, and rallies is their main job. For the year l952-l953 the Executive Council was responsible for an overall Student Body budget of 522,000 San Lorenzo's first Student Body officers were elected in June, I952g they began their term the Fall ot the same year. Chuck Keaton was elected Student Body President. lt is his iob to see that all duties are fulfilled by his cabinet members, the other student body officers. The President is an ex-officio member of all committees, such as Service Committee and Finance Committee. His duties also are to conduct student body as- semblies, to speak to the student body of anything that concerns the welfare of the school, to be secretary of the Student Affairs Council, and to preside over all Execu- tive Council meetings.
