DL All ,,,,1,,,,,, We are proud of our fraternal spirit at San Juan, of our loyalty to one another and our School. We haue a certain informal manner about our school, where faculty and students are often seen as just part of the group . Each of us. consciously or unconsciously, has a part to play in Our Story. Whether the part be difficult or easy, irk-some or feasible, it will be dealt with in honesty and alliance. So Our Story is a happy one which can be looked back upon with pride and affection by its Authors. ,f We look back upon our studies with self-respect, with humiliation, or with detachment, depending upon our share of the inheritance. Whether it be prepatory training for the university, for the business world, or the immediate demand of livelihood, the primordial training has been for life needs. We may never remember the chemical equation for trinitro- tolune, but we will never forget the manner in which we achieved our goal by doing the experiments through team work. Our careers will forever be guided by the proficiency we acquired while attending San Juan. fudies O O O R '2 'XY r . AXA, Xxx pus- :au -,1ffJ,-..M---- . This year's varsity will be trying for its third straight league championship, and the team ap- pears to have a very good chance of taking the crown again. lf San Juan does win the cham- pionship, the trophy will be ours. As the book goes to press, the team has shown lots of hustle, good hitting, and good pitching against Sacramento area teams. The Spartans have beaten and tied Sacramento, tied and lost to McClatchy, and they lost one to Grant. This is a fine record co.nsidering the tough opposition they have faced. G.
