Esvelt INSTRUCTION ASSISTANT SUTERINTENDENT DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIO The district administration ofthe San Juan Union High School District works under the direction of the board of trustees by carrying out policies and administering the various high schools. The principal duties include the securing of teachers and other employees, planning new buildingsproviding the needed equipment and teaching supplies, giving direction to the cur- riculum and in short operating efficiently and economically, a multi mil- lion dollar business that provides for the high school students in our district. 9

Kilpatrick, Jr., M.D., Clerk of Trustees BCARD OF TRU TEES The Board of Trustees is composed of five persons elected for a three year term by the voters of the district to represent them in determining school policies. These men deserve much credit for the long hours they serve, without compensation, in behalf of all the students in the San Juan Union High School District. Their study of the educational needs of our district and the decisions they have made have helped establish the fine reputation of the schools in our district. 8
