jim Allen, our first semester president, has certainly been ,1 grand leader in everything he has attempted. Being prexy of the local Hi-Y and an officer at the first model legislature surely proved his abilities. Of course, hc's probably best known as that Hjolsonu guy who sang his way into our hearts at the Minstrel Show last year. Along the sports line, he proved to be .1 wonderful guy also. He's the one who gave us the super sports pages in this year's annual. And at the games, you always saw Ole' Faithful writing down all those complicated statistics. 5. M ?.-u kg UM. M 6 I 4 up 5 1 , .- .S I. , i Bob Grotheer's powerful kieking leg and hard-hitting blocking and tackling on the line earned the football award this year. The basketball award went to all-around athlete Diek Camilli, the mainstay of this year's team both in seoring and defensive ability. Both boys set great examples of good sportsmanship to make the old San Juan Spartan doubly proud. deserving receiver of this year's seiente award. lust to shovt E IOR Arriving at San Juan in the middle of her Junior year, W'anda Loveland proceeded to dish out some pretty rough competition to the local intelleets, So much, in fact, that she was seleeted for one of the eoveted seholar ship awards. , ' Q ti ,fi ff' M Bob Nlerriek was a close eontender for both the seholarship and basketball awards. However, his prowess in the seienee lab was his outstanding achievement, and it made him the what a versatile guy this Nlerriek is, he wields a slide rule and baseball bat with equal skill.
