Murray, - E ' When we, the class of '49, came back to school this year as Sophomores, we certainly felt like old-timers. Of course, there were new classes and new teachers to cope with, but we soon got back in the swing of things. We then settled down to make ourselves a super-deluxe reputation, and we think our efforts were reasonably well rewarded. We elected four extra-competent class officers and presented the Student Body with a Hop that broke all attendance records. We finally made our way through Mr. Dickens' Tale of Two Cities, and with no small amount of pride saw several of our more athletically inclined Fourty-Niners receive their Block letters. None of this year's school activities went by without hearty representation from our class. ' X Next year we will be Iuniors and upper-classmen, and it is our fond hope that we may bring more glory and honor to San Iuan by being as capable a class as those that have gone before us. We know it will be lots of fun, too. Bill Monroe lim Estelle SODIJOMODQS Ronnie Leineke
