JUNIGDS Treasurer V Lysle Thomas wi Vice-President A Shirley Dale Here we are, we Iuniors, with only one more Secretary year at San Iuan to go, and that foh, wondrous i thoughtll as Seniors. Of course, being Iuniors has paulwham been very satisfying, Why, ever since the first president day of school when we so nonchalantly donned our new upper-classmen's privileges, we have been hav- ing a whale of a time. We like to think our Ir.-Sr. Banquet was unsurpassable, and you saw what a success our Play was. We threw the most beautiful Prom, and the Student Council certainly knew who we Iuniors were. And how could our ball teams have done nearly so well without our Iunior prowess? So it's quite obvious that being Iuniors has been wonderful, and we are told being Seniors is even better. We will be sorry to see the '47 class leave because they have been fine Seniors, but we are certainly going to try to equal them. So 1948 had better watch out, because here we come! ml ' B Bll R Aronstein B Small l Hencken B Hopkins' Bl . , - V ' ' ' ' ' . C If' 1 W Watkins D Bell, V. Murray, - E ' When we, the class of '49, came back to school this year as Sophomores, we certainly felt like old-timers. Of course, there were new classes and new teachers to cope with, but we soon got back in the swing of things. We then settled down to make ourselves a super-deluxe reputation, and we think our efforts were reasonably well rewarded. We elected four extra-competent class officers and presented the Student Body with a Hop that broke all attendance records. We finally made our way through Mr. Dickens' Tale of Two Cities, and with no small amount of pride saw several of our more athletically inclined Fourty-Niners receive their Block letters. None of this year's school activities went by without hearty representation from our class. ' X Next year we will be Iuniors and upper-classmen, and it is our fond hope that we may bring more glory and honor to San Iuan by being as capable a class as those that have gone before us. We know it will be lots of fun, too. Bill Monroe lim Estelle SODIJOMODQS Ronnie Leineke
