OF 'rhe 400 P.E. maiors enrolled, 70 are in 'rhe presenl' graduaiing class. San Jose P.E. men are in demand ai' high schools and junior colleges -Ihroughoui' +he s+a+e. One new s+a'Ff member appoinied 'rhis year is Bill Perry who handles ihe in+ramural program ancl is foof- ball line coach. One maior change was iniiiafed when men were supplied wi'I'h gym clofhing by 'Ihe college .... Tiny Har+ranH and Coach Mumby are shown in rhe gym. PHYSICAL EDUCATION-Dr. Irene Palmer. Big news in fhe Wom- en's Physical Educafion and Recrea- 'rion Depar+men+ was +he comple- 'lion of 'iheir new building in Janu- ary. Our women now have a dance s+udio, a gymnasium 'For baskeiball, volleyball and badminion, a folk dance and fencing gymnasium, an adap+ive gymnasium for posiure and body mechanics, an open courl' for ping pong and a swimming pool. These faciliiies are used for regu- lar class work, Women's Afhleiic Associaiion acfiviiies and in +he Co-Recreaiion program ....
