The Industrial Arts Department gives service courses to several departments: Engineering., Home Economics, Journalism, Art, Library, Sci- ence and many other subjects. .. P4' Indust. Arts faculty: Mr. Van Arsdale, Mr. Casey, Mr. Stevenson, Mr. Spaulding, Mr. Crofut, Mr. Jack- son, Mr. Aspinwall, Mr. Pifer, Dr. Sotzin, Miss Bing- ham, sec. Jack Chaplin is using a lathe in Machine Shop Prac- tice. Mr. Stevenson teaches 'fool use and care. Salaries for shop teachers are the highest in the history of the profession. The demand is great. INDUSTRIAL ARTS DEPARTMENT The Industrial Arts Department is organized to train shop teachers for the field of general education on 'the elementary and secondary school levels. V If a prospective major does not plan to teach, he will either go into industry or business, and for these a combination of Industrial Arts and Commerce is recommended.
