Yes, many of the tra- ditions here will live long in your memories. Although we look forward to leaving here to go to new buildings, ittakes more to make a great school than buildings alone. A great school exists where there is great spirit. Ours has been such aschool. May it continue to be so--even in new build- ings. 7 ULU' Ball 5 all ice lqferiidenf r. Besides these, they have talent and fashion shows, at which time the girls display their talent and the latest fashions for school and dressy affairs. Also they have a Color Day booth on Color Day, and they help to serve refreshments at the student body dances. Every girl at San Jose High is a member of the girls' league. Each reg- ular class sends its representative to the meeting. Katherine Zamzow Bob Sanders Mike Bob Bob Castro Walters Tominso The Boys' League, which is one of High's outstanding service organizations, has been serving us for many years. The Boys' League, in which every boy in school holds membership, elects officers at the first of the semester. These officers plan the events of the coming year. Among their activities are,the Color Day booth, Dad's Night, assemblies, and several movies during the year shown by Sam Della Maggiore. The Boys' League has served the school well and deserves much credit. Compliments of BLUM'S 26 South First Cy 5-4252 'Nl' Ole 2-,,4Jf-4'-i ja! U O I . . 1-ti, n 41. To Ruth Sherman went the honor of being elected our first homecoming queen. The San Jose High School-Lincoln game assembly was chosen as the fitting time for the coronation for queen Ruth. This occasion will live long in the memory of the queen and her loyal subjects. Closely connected with the homecoming was the Publication dinner sponsored by the San Jose High School Quill and Scroll, where many of the publication alumni participated. The photography crew also hadanalumni get-to- gether along with Torch and Laural and Crown and Shield. The Starlighters had an alumni tea and a pot luck dinner. There was also an alumni basketball game which raised money for the March of Dimes. -4 ju Compliments of W. C.
