Included among 'lhese were: coach Bud Winlers of San Jose S'l'a+e, Hal Loper of The YMCA, and Goldie Hol+, manager of +l1e Owls. Orher League aclivilies also include Boys' Nighl, rallies, work on Thanksgiving baskefs, and a boofh on Color Day. ln fhe Bomber Drive il organized all 'rhe boys in lhe school io sell bonds. Johnny Amaral, 'Fall commissioner, and Don Taylor, spring commissioner, deserve The highesf praise for 'lheir parl' in leading lhe boys of school in one of fhe mos'I' ac+ive programs of 'lhe year. Founded in l9l2, fhis organizafion is a sfudenf-managed branch of fhe Bank of America. Under fhe direcfion of Mr. Glas- son, fhe Bank handled nearly a quarfer of a million dollars wi'l'h- ouf an error, and since lasf March fhe Minufe Man Drive funds have been compefenfly faken care of by fhe Bank. Bank officers include: vice presidenf, Sal Caruso: chief accounfanf, Fred Gardner: chief clerk, Leonard Tamanfia: finan- cial secrefary, Allen Hopper. Cooperafing wifh Mr. Glasson, our financial adviser, fhe finance com- missioners prepare a budgef for fhe school every semesfer. They are closely connecfed wifh fhe finances of fhe afhlefic deparf- menf. Their public dufies include 'I'he punching of A. S. B. cards af school games and dances. They are also preseni' af council meef- ings af which fhey presenf reporfs on fhe financial sfanding of fhe school. Alfhough workinc' wifh re- duced funds, Phil Michaels, Lois Fancher, fall, and Jim Schmidf and Sharon Bonell, spring, proved fhemselves by producing budgefs which amply supplied The needs of fhe school.

Every girl here a+ school is a member of fhe Girls' League, which is led by capable leaders in 'ihe form of a cabinei, wi+h chairman heads leading seven separaie commiH'ees which consisl' of represeniaiives from each Reg. Every semesier fhese girls presenl' a Big and LiHle Sisier Parry for +he Sophomores, a Jinx, a Fashion Show, and a Tea for 'rhe Seniors. The Halloween Jinx in Ociober and +he Shamrock Shindig on March I9 were 'l'wo of lhe mosi' successful evenis of lhe year. Olher acfiviiies included filling Thanksgiving Baslcefs, evacuaiion census, selling sfamps and Bonds in +he Bomber Drive, and ihe preseniaiion of May flower baskefs +o ieachers. The meeiings in +he quad were always inferesling in Thai' fhey presenfed a good represenrafion of +he ialeni which is possessed by our school. Fall officers were: presidenf, Gloria Villasenorg vice presideni, Barbara Bone: secreiary, Claire Cole- man: freasurer, Befiielou Chesinui. Spring officers were: presideni, Barbara Bone: vice presideni, Nancy Page: secreiary, Anne Carrufhersg Treasurer, Dororhy Moore.
