The office secrefaries, who gain li'H'le recognifion, are largely responsible for fhe close coordinafion among counselors, deans, and sfudenfs. Miss Roose, Miss Reiff, Miss Pelligrini, Mrs. Flores, and Mrs. Wald- rop cheerfully bear a fhousancl burdens. Behind fhe pleasanf voice you hear as you pick up a school felephone are experienced sfudenfs who donafe 'I'heir sfudy periods fo serve us. These girls are generally chosen from fhe commercial deparfmenf and are given fraining by Miss Roose. Our P.B.X. board wifh ifs lines and exfensions is kepf humming from 7:30 a.m. +ilI 5:00 p.m. wi'I'h more fhan 500 calls daily. High's morning paper is fhe Daily Bullefin which gives all fhe imporfanf announcemenfs and acfivifies for fhe day. To keep fhe school well informed l45 copies are mimeographed each day by sfudenfs who find fhis fype of office work helpful in locafing iobs affer fheir graduafion.

This plan was adopied so 'ihaf each reg. class could confribure pennies +o- ward a weekly 'lweniy dollar War Bond which will become par'r of our sfudenf body scholar- ship fund. Aiding siudenfs in finding books, checking fines, repairing books and magazines are all in a day's work for 'lhose girls who are chosen +o work in 'l'he school library. These girls are irained by Miss Maino.
