DAVID SELF drama ....The Drama department, under the direction of Mr. S. G. Bennett, had a very successful 1961 season. Studio 75 was packed nearly every performance, and several people had to be turned away. The productions proved to be an extremely important function on campus, serving not only as a learning device for the students, but also as an entertainment medium for the public and students of SJCC. Productions for the season include: Interlude from Midsummer Nights Dream, Hello from Bertha, The Sandbox, The Lottery, The Boor.” Antigone, and All That Fall. studio

OUaaBM UXISIC music music music music music The a cappella choir, an unaccompanied singing group of 60 members, is under the direction of Clifford Hansen. The Madrigal Singers, a special addition of the choir, were invited to perform at the State Rotary Convention in Santa Rosa. Featuring a repertoire of songs in musical history which range from 1400 to 1962 — they perform for the spring concert; various women's groups of local churches and service clubs; and on campus for the Christmas assembly and graduation exercises. They willingly try to accommodate all requests.
