JOHN RINGLEIR This club is primarily open to all students majoring in Pre-Engineering and Engineering Technology. Others whose interests lie in any of the many fields of Engineering are also invited to attend their meetings. There are frequent speakers as well as various films from industry and research centers. Several interesting films are planned for each semester. associated engineers art club The Art Club sponsors many art exhibits during the year, and its membership includes students of San Jose City College who are interested in art. Various field trips and art museum excursions are taken by the club. It is organized to serve the spiritual and social needs of Catholic students. AClub Service Award was presented to the Newman Club for Fall semester of '61 for outstanding work that they did on campus. Newman Club, each year, has the Coronation Ball, the annual Christmas caroling, and for the first time last semester had donations of a food basket for the needy. San Jose City College also will co-host with San Jose State in the Annual Province Convention given for Newman clubs in the Central Province Region. young democrats The Young Democrats of City College are a club designed to offer a forum for students interested in contemporary political issues and practical political organizations. The members feel that belonging to the Young Democrats gives them an opportunity to discuss and analyze key issues of Government. BRIAN HUTTON, PRESIDENT; MR. police club The object of the Police Club is to organize students of San Jose City College who are interested in police work or allied fields. The club endeavors to provide round table discussions, debates, lectures, and other activities in the police and allied fields as the club members desire. All students of San Jose City College, who are interested in police work or any allied field, shall be eligible for membership in the police club.
