wlrite caps The White Caps is a campus organization composed of students in the nursing program at San Jose City College. It supports and encourages participation in college activities; attempts to promote a good relationship between students and the community, and provides a common bond among nursing students. It has aided nursing education by having a guest speaker each month, by close association with local nursing organizations, and by contributing to the local medical services. business club Prerequisites for membership in the business club are enrollment in or completion of two or more classes in the business field. In addition to the meetings, are field trips and various businessmen who speak on topics pertinent to their particular profession. delta nu Membership in Delta Nu is open to students enrolled in the dental assistants program and students preparing to enroll in the program. The purposes of the club are to promote dental health education on campus and to render service in the activities for the benefit of the student body. JUDY LANNIN, DONNA ROTOLO, JUNNEIL LEWIS. JANE DELAP. medical club The Medical Assisting Club is open to students in the medical assisting program, which prepares students to enter the field of aiding medical men. In addition to such training, the club also sponsors socials, trips, and speakers, who talk on how to achieve the medical goal.

It is organized to serve the spiritual and social needs of Catholic students. AClub Service Award was presented to the Newman Club for Fall semester of '61 for outstanding work that they did on campus. Newman Club, each year, has the Coronation Ball, the annual Christmas caroling, and for the first time last semester had donations of a food basket for the needy. San Jose City College also will co-host with San Jose State in the Annual Province Convention given for Newman clubs in the Central Province Region. young democrats The Young Democrats of City College are a club designed to offer a forum for students interested in contemporary political issues and practical political organizations. The members feel that belonging to the Young Democrats gives them an opportunity to discuss and analyze key issues of Government. BRIAN HUTTON, PRESIDENT; MR.
