Front row: JOE BENSON, fall prosidont; JERRY BOYER, spring president; not pictured, SUE ANDERSON, spring secretary. ski club Ski Club of City College was organized in the Spring of 1960 by Al Eggen in order to promote skiing both on snow and water. The Club bounced into action again this year by Karolyn Gragg with over 150 members and many trips in the snow around Lake Tahoe and Squaw Valley area. Water skiing trips were planned also in Lake Tahoe and the beautiful Lake Berryessa. In the past year, Ski Club, being number one club on campus, has participated in many activities. Karolyn Gragg, who was elected Homecoming Queen, was represented by the Club, and also Raylene Gray, elected first princess. A third place award was given to the club for one of the best booths at the Homecoming Carnival. Other activities included a successful snow cone sale and a Snow Cone Ball. Much recognition has been given to Ski Club for their abundance of participation in all-around sports.

Merchandising club has contributed much to the cultural, social, and educational status of its members and to the school itself. A few of the many activities which the club sponsors are: Homecoming Dance, an annual Fashion Show, an annual Top Management Banquet, a D.E.C.A. convention trip, many social events, and numerous fund raising activities for the student body. In addition, the club is affiliated with the State and National Distributive Education Clubs of America, which strive to develop future leaders for marketing and distribution. Proof of the club's ability to produce leaders is given by the national recognition which the club has received.
