Since Dr. Pruett and Mr. Pemberton began the work at Mashoko nine years ago over two million bricks have been made at the mission. Soil taken from an area adjacent to an inactive ant hill is per- fect for brick making. The crew of nine men make about 30,000 bricks each month at a cost of about 590.00 Mashoko, situated over a hundred miles from any city must rely heavily upon the abilities of people there to build and con- trive all kinds of things. The1Mgshoko Christian Hospital has accommodations for l75 patients, inc u ing surgery X ray pharmacy and doctors' offices. This hospital stands as a great Christian witness in Rhodesia. uMission to Mashokou resulted from a request by Dr. Pruett that SJBC send a professor to teach and preach at the mission. This last year the student body accepted the challenge of this invitation and with some outside help raised 52,000 for the trip. while at Mashoko Mr. Alder taught classes in the Bible College, lec- tured to the nursing students, taught in the teacher training schoj and held an evangelistic meeting.
