sci-iooL CALENDAR On SEPTEMBER II in fhe opening rally held in fhe San Jose Civic Audiforium, fhe I95I-52 school ferm opened fo fhe fune of a song-service led by Chaplain Hal Marfin, I+ was followed by challenging messages which led 'Ihe sfudenfs in anficipafion fo regisfrafion fhe nexf morning The school held ifs firsf classes SEPTEMBER I3 where fhe faculfy briefed fha sfudenf body as fo feaching and sfudy mefhods which would be employed during fhe year. On OCTOBER 23 San Jose Bible College was very happy fhaf il' had been made possible for Brofher Jessup and Brofher Applebury fo affend fhe Conference on Evangelism in Cincinnafi, Ohio. As NOVEMBER came, and wifh if Thanksgiving vacafion, fhe young people were amazed fhaf fhe fime had passed so quickly. Almosf before anyone realized if, fhe 'Iwo weeks of Chrisfmas vacafion had also arrived. The new camp grounds af La Honcla was fhe scene of 'lhe firsf Red- wood Chrisfian Service Camp in a mid-winfer session, held December 26-28, I95I. Affer many of fhe more noble scholars had made an honesf efforf fo gel- exfra sfudying done over fhe holidays, mosf of fhem refurned fo school amidsl' fhe hubbub of lasf minufe preparafion for fhe Conference on Evangelism. In fhe San Jose Civic Audiforium, during fhe fhree days from JANUARY 9-I I, I952 abouf eighf hundred people gafhered fo hear whaf many fermed The fine-sf conference in fhe hisfory of fhe school. The fheme was The Church, Through Chrisf, Meefing Toclay's Problems. An oufsfanding program was presenfed fhrough pracfical demonsfrafions in counselling, in soul winning, and in meefing special problems of foday, The sfudenf body was an excifed group when fhey learned fhaf on FEBRUARY 25, I952 fheir leader, Brofher Bill Jessup, would Aboard a plane fo make a iourney fo fhe Orienf visifing mission sfafions in Japan, in Korea, and also fhose in Hawaii and in fhe Philippines enroufe, The hearffelf prayers of fhe sfudenfs and faculfy wenf wifh fhe group of fwelve singers and fheir program presenfing The Challenge for Chrisf , as fhey made a four of California churches from MARCH I3-3I. The spring vacafion was held from APRIL 4-I4. From APRIL 30 fo MAY 4 one of fhe faculfy members of San Jose Bible College, Brofher V. E. Bufferworfh, represenfed fhe school .af fhe Norfh American Chrisfian Convenfion held af Tulsa, Oklahoma. The seniors were really scurrying fo gef fheir fheses wriflen 'before fhe closing weeks of scholo. However, fhey a brighl' momenl' of relaxfion al' 'Ihe school picnic on MAY 9. Then came fhe grand finale on MAY 29 when fhe seniors presided over fheir graduafion rally which was culminafed by fhe presenfafion of awards for fheir achievemenfs. Following fhe graduafion congrafulafions, many farewells were uffered among dear friends as fhey parfed for fheir-fields of service for fhe Lord during 'lhe summer monfhs. 25
