Sanderson had arranged for Phe purchase of Phe original building on Phe corner of Fif+h and San Carlos, buf because of age and declining healih he lefP Phe work Po oPhers. W. L. Jessup, Phe school's presidenf, had spenl' six monfhs in San Jose preparing for 'Phe opening of classes, and he along wiPh Mrs. Jessup, Mr. and Mrs. Roy B. Shaw, and Ru'Ph Jo Bond became Phe school's firsl' Peachers. The second year when forfy-five s'Puden'Ps regisPered, V. K.
