Sanderson had arranged for Phe purchase of Phe original building on Phe corner of Fif+h and San Carlos, buf because of age and declining healih he lefP Phe work Po oPhers. W. L. Jessup, Phe school's presidenf, had spenl' six monfhs in San Jose preparing for 'Phe opening of classes, and he along wiPh Mrs. Jessup, Mr. and Mrs. Roy B. Shaw, and Ru'Ph Jo Bond became Phe school's firsl' Peachers. The second year when forfy-five s'Puden'Ps regisPered, V. K. Allison, Phen minisfering a'P San'Pa Cruz, drove over 'Pwice a week 'Po help in 'Phe Peaching, and Ia+er moved Po San Jose Po be a full 'Pime ins'Pruc'Por. f As Phe school grew oPher Peachers were added 'Po Phe sfaff: Harold Rea, Audrey Isaacs 'lnow Mrs. RoberP WesPl, Bonnie McOuisPan, Don DeWelP, T.
