Four Dne-Aol Plays Discover TO KEEP THE TRADITION, an evening packed wilh a variely ol enlerlainmenl was provided by lhe Troupers Club Iasl Oclober. Facully advisor was Mr. Hooper and each play had ils sludenl direclor. NO TELEVISION TONIGHT , A RIOTOUS COMEDY, gave a hilarious example ol how a Ielevision sel can cause confusion in a lypical American home. The hard- working and capable sludenl direclor was Elsie Schweizer. In lhe casl were Bill Har- ris, Linda Duhamel, Anila Brown, Waller Walker, Dave Ver Plank and Joyce McLean. WITH THE SETTING IN AN ASYLUM WAS THE PLAY, LUNATICS. The casl members were Beverly Lamb and Jesse King. Sludenl direclor was Belsy Moore who direcled 'rhe play wilh skill. DARKNESS . THE MOST DRAMATIC OF THE FOUR PLAYS, showed how biller one can gel when he loses his sighl. The casl was Carolyn Glover, Roger Walsingham and Dave Newell. Pal Dunn, sludenl body presidenl, direcled lhe play. ALSO WELL RECEIVED BY ITS AUDIENCE WAS Grounds lor Divorce , anolher lasl-moving comedy. Wrillen by our English and drama inslruclor, Mr. Hooper, il broughl lo one's allenlion how quickly a woman can and ollen does lump lo con- clusions. Included in lhe casl were Shirley Crablree, lhe wile: Marry Schweizer, The husband: and Joan Barllell, lhe cook. Connie Elowerbird did an impressive iob ol slu- denl direcling. This play was Ialer presenled lor 'rhe San Jacinlo Lions Club and 'rhe San Jacinlo Communily Builders when lhe Ialler group mel al 'rhe Soboba Hol Springs. The play was enlhusiaslically received. Business manager was Marry Schweizer while Dave Newell was in charge ol publicily. Handling delails back slage was Doug Rhodes who was very dependable. Making up each individual casl' member in order lhal he would look his parlicular parl were Darlyne Rowe, Shirley Long, Nancy Buller, Lois Mallson and Marian Valdez. Drama enlhusiasls owe Mr. Hooper much credil for lhe skilled direclion and lireless elforls which macle lhe four produclions poss- ible.
