The Treshmen ledger had To be wriTTen in blue ink and The group worked hard To earn money Tor Their class Treasury. TT-loT dogsl CoTTeel Ropl Candyll-Even Ricklesl' became a Tamiliar Treshman halT-Time shouT. ATT-METTC HONORS WERE SCQRED wher The Treshman girls won The inTereclass hockey cnarrpioriship and The Treshman boys noT To be ouT-honored by The gramazons, placed second in The inTer-class baskeTball garres. Some were awed and some were scared. Some were Timid and even a Tew were bold. There was ThaT Treshman boy who walked up To a TaculTy member beTween passing bells and asked, May I carry your books To your nexT class? BUT THEY CAUGHT ON FAST! The Treshman class has reason To remember iTs Tirsl' week in school Tor a long Time. Freshman acTiviTies sTarTed wiTh The hike To The Armed wiTh gallons oT whiTe wash, shovels and hoes. They sTarTed The climb aT The break oi dawn. The sTeep climb Trom The mounTain base To iTs peak, which Tow ers among The clouds, is quiTe a walk. MANY UNKNOWN ARTISTS musT have been discovered The day Freshman lniTia- Tion rolled around-or so iT would seem from The lipsiick and mascara decoraTions a- dorning The Trosh. We saw boys crawling up The Senior Walk in burlap wrappings, high-heeled shoes, and ladies' haTs, and carrying large Tin pans, baby dolls, nippled boTTles, and TooTh brushes Tor scrubbing The Walk. The girls were gruesome, Too. We saw Them beiore school polishing senior's shoes-liT was probably The lasT Time 22
