Miss Merle Hilbert. a newcomer to our school. teaches art and is also ad- visor of the annual. She is a graduate of George Pepperdine College. Her major is art and she has as mi- nors education and psychology. She taught at Shatter, California last year. Miss Hilbert has taught adult educa- tion. Ceramics is her lavorite past time. She has invented cz porcelain which has tone and is also trcmsluscent. MISS MERLE HILBERT MR. ROBERT ROBERDS Our music instructor. Robert Bud Roberds. graduated from San Iacinto High in 1938. He then attended Long Beach I. C. for two years and went on to U. C. I.. A. where he received his B. A. degree. His other interest besides music is sports. To add to his job of teaching, he di- rects an orchestra-composed of school musicians and some of the musically minded townspeople.

Mr. Gardner graduated from the Uni- versity oi ldaho. where he received his B.S. Ed. and M.S. Ed. He previously taught in Portland. Oregon, where his iamily is now living.
