Mrs. Beryl Penacho graduated from San Iacinto High School, received her teachers degree at U. C. L. A... She taught for tour years in Santa Ana and here she is now at San Iacinto High School. Mrs. Lucille Kugler attended Ingle- wood High School and graduated from U. C. L. A. This is her first year back at S. I. H. S. since she iormerly taught here in 1938. Spanish 1, ll. lll, and Physical Education are the subiects that she teaches. She lived in South Pasadena before accepting her teaching position at San Iacinto High School. He is sponsor of the Iunior Class and teaches English II, Drivers Ed., Social Studies, and Physical Education. He also wants everyone to know he has two very sweet daughters. Miss Merle Hilbert. a newcomer to our school. teaches art and is also ad- visor of the annual. She is a graduate of George Pepperdine College. Her major is art and she has as mi- nors education and psychology. She taught at Shatter, California last year. Miss Hilbert has taught adult educa- tion. Ceramics is her lavorite past time. She has invented cz porcelain which has tone and is also trcmsluscent. MISS MERLE HILBERT MR. ROBERT ROBERDS Our music instructor. Robert Bud Roberds. graduated from San Iacinto High in 1938. He then attended Long Beach I. C. for two years and went on to U. C. I.. A. where he received his B. A. degree. His other interest besides music is sports. To add to his job of teaching, he di- rects an orchestra-composed of school musicians and some of the musically minded townspeople.
