HAMS 0lD AND NEW VX 'wa X MR. BRISTER HER NAME WAS AUNT NELLIEQ' presented by the junior class, brought many surprises and laughs to their audi- ence. Oren Speir provided most of the merri- ment as he cavorted about in pink and purple dresses and a simpering falsetto. Dorothy Stayer, Clifford Lamb, and Gloria Hawes added to the general hilarity while Nancy Hayward' and Helen Eacret provided the loving home influence. Larry Ferchaud, Leona Rodriguez and Ronny Welch lent action as well as fun to the plot. Mr. Woodrow Brister coached the play. Oren Speir was student director. Make- up was done by Pat McCleave and joan Cudmondson. Doreen Irving and jackie McCahan introduced the players. Rodney DePeel was the faithful stand-in. Sound effects were provided by lack Mills. Prompters were Shirley Wixom and joanne Cremer. The play centered around the home of Harry and Mable Savage, a young married couple, portrayed by lack Ricketts, and Betty Neidigh. Barbara Handcock and Virgil Elwess provided some of the touching romantic scenes. lanke Thonms and Ray Kennedy gave the audience many laughs with their por- trayalof a deaf aunt and uncle. A desperate criminal, Don Hedlund, mms capnned by the poehc pohcenmn, john Cilruth. loan Ashley, a nosey land- lady, filled the scenes with merriment. Harriet Waggoner took the part of an inexpenencedihaid. I. C. Ogburn, Pete Cannon, Bill Hood, and Ray Dunn took care of the lights and the sets Frances Sturbaunw and Ruth Wade put on make up. Understudies were George Mapstead and Mary Louise Wright. Mrs. Cay Stevens was the well-liked director of the play. H91

One of their activities was viewing the Spanish picture Don Quixote de la Mancha in River- side. The members took an active part in our annual school fiesta. Tacos were sold by the club at the Sock ldop to increase the club bank account.
