Nick Bellegie Marion Frost Bettye Gehring Sid Nachlas SENIOR CLHSS Motto: Every man is the architect of his own fortune. Colors: Pink, silver, and green. Flower: Sweetheart rose. Hfter a series of run-off elections, Nick Bellegie, out- standing student and El Oroso Co-Editor-in-Chief, was- elected President of the 1937 Senior Class. Other officers elected were Marion Frost, Vice-President: Betty Gehring, Secretary, and Sid Nachlas, Treasurer. H new method of organizing the activities of the grad- uates was initiated loy Mr. Rogers and the class officers. H Senior Council, composed of representatives from each registration, was chosen and became an intermediary for all Senior affairs. During the spring term the attention of the Senior Class was directed towards a lengthy list of entertainments given in the various members' honor. Included in this list were the annual reception given by the University of Houston, the Senior picnic, class night, Baccalaureate Sermon, and the Commencement exercises. One of San lacinto's largest graduating classes, the Class of 1937, is expected to produce many honors for her alma mater.
