Graduation Your cap and gown fit perfectly. Your cap and tassel ' s fine. The time has come for ail to join the graduating line. Tears of joy, tears of love are spread among the crowd. The class of ' 80 has grown Old. strong, and proud. The speeches start, the people cheer. But the time is yet to come for you to cross the border line of being a high school bum. It ' s Over Now! You made it through! And you did it by yourself. Your high school books of memories will lie upon your shelf. You ' re happy, but a piece of sad is rising from your heart. For the friends that you have come to love must now go on and part. They say they ' ll never forget the time they spent at San G High. They ' ll soon forget to call or write. It was all a bunch of lies! So never forget the people you loved as teachers, lovers, or friends. Call or write to let them know Your love will never end! Avis Stuart ' 80 r D, rtapjanne feugen

Waiting, bridled, beneath the trees. Anonymous s Shuey 81 J ? ' | ■ The child in us never dies; Like our love for animals — It continues to be a part Of our compelling love for Things of nature — sunsets. Raindrops, and other things That never fail to impress Us with their beauty and power. Some of us. all our lives. Have dogs, cats, horses, or Other pets to enrich our lives. And to bring us a bit closer To understanding life and all Of its complexities that sometimes Buries us in hatred, envy, and Those other parts of our nature That we would just as soon forget. Without that bit of childhood In each of us — especially that Love for animals and the other Things in nature that awe us With their beauty and goodness. Life for most of us would become Unbearable, and the hatred envy. Greed and other parts of our nature That we would just as soon Forget would become too much to bear. Anonymous ■L Pam Oakes 80 249
