This is the year, the junior year we ve all looked forward to. We come to school saying, ' I ' m not letting any senior push me around this year! Of course, it never turns out that way. We are, however, a year or two ahead of the sophomores and freshmen . . . and the cycle goes on. The junior class, the class of nineteen- eighty one, is a class to be proud of. Among our juniors we have many accom- plished athletes, musicians and artists. In sports, we have Robert Rybak, Chris Sea- man, Brad Beauregard and Tina Howard, who have all made great contributions to our boys ' and girls ' track teams. Our boys ' varsity basketball team is three-quarters junior power: Mike Jackson, Brad Miller, Vance Amador, Scott Bader, Drew Wedul, and Rod Atkinson. We also have many good juniors on our girls ' varsity basket- ball team: Elaine Ellison, Pat Tena, and Bonnie Bade, to name a few. Rena Zagha has become an accomplished concert pianist, and Robert Graziano has shown great potential as a fine artist. Of course, we just don ' t have room enough to name all of our accomplished juniors. There are so many who have made contributions and sacrifices for this school and this class. The three musketeers. Several of our juniors, coming from Air Force oriented backgrounds, have come to San G. from schools in Eng- land, Japan and other foreign countries. This year, Robyn Hopton, Sandra Lin- dholm, Alice Elton and Brian Hume were candidates for A.F.S., or American Field Service. As you all know, this was our year to plan the prom. We did a darn good job, too! It was held at the DisneyLand Hotel in Anaheim. I hope that in the future, when you are all re-reading this, that you will remember your joys and sorrows, triumphs and losses. Remember, too, the friends you have made during your years here at San Gorgonio. Above all, we are the class that can change the world, or at least make a dent in solving it ' s problems. Next year is our last year here at San G. We will all go our separate ways. Go out there class of eighty-one, and sock it to ' em!
