lc fl o al Esprit ole Corps Some don't believe we have it while others say it doesn't even ' exist. lt is in us though and no one can deny that. Anyone who has ever been to a Varsity football or volleyball game has seen itg anyone who has participated in a class competition has felt it, those who have played in any sport, or have been on the sidelines cheer- ing, understand it. So, what exactly is this thing that seems to play such an active part in our lives? It isn't school pride nor is it merely school spirit. What we do have at San Gabriel is a sense of Esprit de Corps. Esprit de Corps is the unity that bonds teammates together, the force that propels Matadors into action, and the psyche that motivates team members to victory. It is the single, most valuable asset that compels us to achieve in what we set out to do. This year, the Matadors did just that. Whether itfwas in sports, academics, or activities, we worked together to make ourselves better than the rest. Because of our Esprit de Corps and our will- ingness to function as a unit we achieved our ultimate goal, To be at THE TOP!
