It's funny how this question keeps Being brought up juring conversations among Yearbook staff embers these days. It's probably because the 're still wondering wow they ever managed to survive their first deadline let alone finish the whole annual. . . It was less than a week before the first deadline and tensions were mounting. There was a countless amount of work to be done and not nough time to do it. Pictures still needed to be developed, selected, nd cut to be ready for printing. Ca tions had to be chosen for the pic- ures and the written cop was far flfjom being finished. The staff was in bind and to add to all their troubles Homecoming was on the same ay as the deadline. It looked as though the deadline wouIdn't be GI. Though it seemed impossible, the Yearbook staff pulled through for hat deadline and the four others that followed. The end result, of ourse, is this yearbook. iends Forever With the arrival of graduation each year, students are forced to move on with their lives and to leave behind much of the needed support they found at San Gabriel High. Although graduation is a promise of the future of the graduates, it likewise threatens the ex- istence of many friendships made during the course of the school years. Sometime after graduation, a large portion of the graduates will leave their families and homes to attend distant universities, travel abroad, or to find some direction for their future. Whatever path they choose it is almost certain that most of the friends they found at S.G.H.S. won't be with them anymore. It is true that friendships come and go but must the be lost forever? When the time comes for us to leave our school, will we leave behind the happiness we found with our friends here? In reality, we may never see our friends again once we graduate. As long as we hold on to the images of our friends and remember the hacppy times we shared with them, though, our memories will never fa e. In this sense our friends will remain our friends forever. gheary Fetterley and Viv Chen know in their hearts that they will remain friends orever. l if The happy times this trio share won't be forgotten. 6 Friendship K ' MM' Even graduation won't break the bond that keeps these together.
