IH OW THE WEST WAS WON by the personality and charms of Mikey Matador is a story that can be traced back to his younger days as a student at San Gabriel High School. His experiences here at SGHS began when he had his first meeting with THE GODFATHER, Mr. Mount, at freshman orientation. That year, his schedule included the usual trip to THE ASPHALT JUN- GLE for RE. Then it was on to M'A'T'H with Mrs. Ayles and ge- ometry. ln his sophomore year, he encountered THE FRENCH CON- NECTION when he took foreign Ian- guage with Mrs. Hardy. He joined the Acappella Choir in the eleventh grade. They went on tour to San Francisco and winter weather caught them SINGING IN THE RAIN. After completing his first year of drama, he declared that acting was indeed his FIRST LOVE. He too spent many a DOG DAY AFTERNOON in Biology daydream- ing of warm summer days spent lazi- ly at the beach. Daily, he could be found spending HIGH NOON on senior court stuffing freshmen in trash cans. He often felt HIGH ANXIETY as finals approached, but he survived and in fact graduated with honors. Recently, Mikey was quoted as saying that SGHS was THE ONE AND ONLY place where he could have gotten such a great headstart on life. 10 Mikey's Autobiography .gg l.,.t E Fi it m EE 2 3 g as tg t as stgi 'i
