Korma $395 and Thetus ioining together won first place in mind dlvumn with their colorful flout, Disney '20'5. Highlighting Homecoming is the building of the many beautiful and fantastic floats. Weeks of preparation go into the final plans which are changed, rechanged, and changed again. Because of the professional qual- ity of the floats competition among the groups is rug- ged, and the winning of a trophy is on unequaled thrill. Sigma Phi Epsilon won first in singles division with its float uSpirit of the i203. Delta Zeta took second in this division with its By the Sea.H Taking both the originality trophy and honorable menti0n trophy in mixed division was the lambda Chi AlthHSEgma Kappa float A City Comes of AgFSan Francisco. Both naturoi and artificial flowers were used. Tau Kappa Epsilon-Pi Beta Phi Statue of Liberty copped the award for best use of natural flowers. The Dorms, with their fleet Silents Please, took the award for best use of artificial flowers, and Delta Sigma Phi was awarded the singies division honorable mention trophy for its version of Green Door. Floats Lindy's Flight was the theme lhal the Sigs and the Chi D's depicted wilh the use of natural flowert The fiuut took second place in mixed division. Pi Beta Phi and Pi Kappa Alpha Hed for best construction awards. Alpha Epsilon sorority was judged best on-compus deb oration. Seleciion of the winners was made the Sunday before Home- coming.
